This make-over is really dramatic, when you see its humble origins below. The carport, fireplace and wrap-around porch are all new. The windows and siding were all replaced, the front door was originally on the side where the chimney is located, and about 25% of the bottom floor was a step down from the rest of the house. When you see the photo, of us preparing to cut off the studs, that’s because we raised the floor up, so the entire bottom floor is now on the same level.
